Welcome Message – Deputy Premier of WA

Mar 13, 2023 Event News

On behalf of the WA Government, welcome to AOG Energy 2023. It is great to see Australia’s premier oil, gas and energy trade event return to Perth for another year. Over the next three days, we are looking forward to welcoming more than 6000 attendees from nearly 40 countries to AOG Energy 2023.

The WA Government is an active supporter of this year’s event, through principal sponsor the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. AOG Energy 2023 will showcase local jobs and opportunities in the energy sector, progress the energy transition and bring international exhibitors to Western Australia.

Clean and renewable energy is in strong demand globally, and in Western Australia we have the perfect mix of resources to support energy transition across the world. A number of sessions have been curated to align with our energy transition vision. I encourage you to attend these sessions, network and learn more about exciting opportunities in Western Australia’s emerging industries, including solar energy, onshore and offshore wind energy, carbon capture and storage, decommissioning, renewable hydrogen, and battery and critical minerals. A common theme across these sessions will be how Western Australia has all the right ingredients to deliver better environmental, social and governance (ESG) outcomes for industry.

In the exhibition, make sure to visit the inaugural Aboriginal Capability Pavilion, which is showcasing First Nations businesses with a range of capabilities and service offerings. Connecting these businesses to new markets and expanding their existing markets is in the spirit of AOG Energy, working collaboratively to help grow the sector.

AOG Energy 2023 is an invaluable opportunity for Western Australian small and medium enterprises and research institutions to showcase their world-class capabilities to a large audience. Our highly skilled workforce can assist industry to reduce costs and improve operations.

Do not miss your opportunity to learn how you can partner with Western Australia to ‘Power the Energy Future’.
