Speaker Profile

Richard J. Hinkley is currently Vice President Energy Solutions, Western Australia Northern Australia & Timor-Leste, responsible for all operational and commercial activities associated with midstream assets, late life production, and carbon capture and storage. This includes Bayu-Undan, Darwin LNG, Bayu-Undan carbon capture and storage, Darwin LNG life extension, and clean fuels project maturation.

Richard joined Santos in early 2022 after a 25-year career in Chevron Corporation. Most recently, Richard was responsible for managing California onshore operations, after roles of increasing responsibility across international production operations in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Australia, and United States.

Richard is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
