Speaker Profile

Rean Gilbert is an experienced marine & coastal scientist, with demonstrated experience as a marine park manager,
regulator and consultant. She has held leadership roles for both the Commonwealth offshore regulator (NOPSEMA)
and the State regulator (DMIRS) in environment and well integrity matters. Rean is currently the General Manager of
a niche consultancy MCC Sustainable Futures who specialize in providing environmental solutions for the energy sector, including specialist services in decommissioning, including environmental impact of decommissioning plans,
degradation studies, comparative impact assessments and Environmental Plans. With expertise in climate and
sustainability MCC are able to consider the full decommissioning landscape.
