Paul Gordon – CEO and Technical Director, Catalyze APAC
Paul is the CEO and Technical Director of Catalyze APAC. He has worked in a wide range of sectors including Energy, Health and the Defence and Security in Australia, NZ, the UK. Paul has extensive experience designing, delivering, and facilitating decommissioning decision processes using MCDA comparative assessment for clients within the Australian oil and gas sector including BHP, Esso, and Woodside. Paul was the Australian sector lead supporting the APPEA Decommissioning Committee in the development of the draft Australian Guidelines for Decommissioning Decision Making. He is the author of the academic paper ‘Rigorous decommissioning decision making with strong stakeholder engagement using comparative assessment,” APPEA Journal (2019) and the Amazon best-seller “Hard Decisions Made Easy – how leaders in large organisations make complex decisions that stick.” Paul currently holds the position of President of the Australasian Chapter of the Society of Decision Professionals and is adjunct faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Sydney (USYD) Business School.
