Michael Robinson

Woodside Energy

Michael was appointed Vice President Scarborough in August 2020.

Michael has 30 years of oil and gas experience working in Australia, Asia and the United States for contractor and operator organisations.
Michael joined Woodside in 2014 and has held several roles including Project Director for the Browse FLNG Development and head of the Projects function, prior to stepping into the Scarborough role.
As Vice President Scarborough, Michael has responsibility for business and project delivery associated with the offshore development of the Greater Scarborough resources, and the onshore development comprising Pluto Train 2 and Pluto Train 1 modifications. Scarborough achieved FID approval in November 2021 and is currently under execution.
Prior to joining Woodside, Michael’s early career was centred around project delivery before stepping into business leadership roles, with a focus on stakeholder management and developing high performing teams in complex working environments.
Michael is a member of the industry advisory committee supporting the University of Sydney (School of Project Management) and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from Monash University (1994).
