Mark Casey

Santos

Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (1984) from QUT. His subsea career began eighteen months after graduation, working at first in the UK North Sea.

Mark is an Engineers Australia Fellow and chartered engineer in the areas of subsea engineering and leadership and management, being in the first group of subsea engineers in Australia to be chartered.

He has more than thirty-five years subsea experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, including experience in the subsea facilities feasibility and concept development for oil and gas discoveries, and in the design, procurement, integration testing, offshore commissioning and operations support of subsea production systems, working on behalf of operating companies, engineering consultants and vendors, located in the North Sea and Asia Pacific region.

Mark is currently the Subsea Infrastructure, Marine and Mooring Technical Authority (TA1) at Santos Ltd, and a member of the 2024 Society for Underwater Technology Committee in Perth.
