PT Kilang Pertamina International

I hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and now I am working as a Process Engineer in PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional – Refinery Unit III for over 5 years of experience. The energy field has become a central part of my professional career. I have worked on several sustainable energy transition projects at Pertamina. In 2019, I supported a pioneer project in Indonesia to reduce fossil crude oil feedstocks by co-processing 80%-wt fossil crude oil with 20%-wt palm oil derivatives called Refined, Bleached, Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO). This process yields high-octane gasoline. In the same year, I also participated in the implementation of blending between 70%-wt fossil diesel fuel and 30%-wt Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME). This mixture results in lower-emission diesel fuel. Furthermore, I also actively contributed to the Pertamina team to take part in the environmental compliance competition which received a gold award from Ministry of Environment and Forestry – Republic of Indonesia in 2022. The award is assessed in several aspects, including energy, emissions, and social impacts. Additionally, I hold two certificates from The National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) of Indonesia, it is Water Pollution Control and Life Cycle Analysis.
