Damon is an Associate at Arup in Perth and has a background in offshore geotechnics. Previously based in New Zealand, the UK and the Netherlands, Damon has over 20 years of practical experience in offshore energy developments. Damon now leads Arup’s Offshore Wind business in Australasia including commissions for various developers, port authorities, and governments, working to shape the offshore wind industry and its contribution to a more sustainable energy future. Damon’s multi-disciplinary team in Perth are also heavily involved in more advanced offshore wind projects in countries such as South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Damon is the past-Chair of the Society for Underwater Technology OSIG committee and sits on the Standards Australia committee for Offshore Structures making recommendations to ISO standard updates from an Australian perspective.
