Diversity & Inclusion Breakfast

2019 Sponsors

ABOUT THE EVENT

There is no doubt that diversity and inclusion in the workplace are now considered C-level issues, and key leaders in Australia’s oil and gas sector were amongst those who were pushing that message at AOG. This powerful event was an opportunity for the industry to connect, while supporting inclusive and diverse workplaces.

Topic: Diversity of Thought: What’s it all about?

The debate examined the thesis that having a diverse group of people, garnered from different backgrounds and beliefs, helps to boost innovation and problem solving within an organisation.

AOG Moderator: Anjali Rao, Journalist and News Anchor

“At its core, diversity of thought requires the most basic of ingredients: a room with two people in it. Then, mix in their varying cultures, attitudes, backgrounds, experiences, and opinions. Any way you slice and dice it, the scenario becomes more complex, but much more interesting, and ultimately rewarding. The most successful companies are the ones who are able to embrace, and capitalise upon, the myriad of differences their staff bring to create a unified, inclusive, and cohesive structure in tomorrow’s increasingly globalised world.”
