Scott Draper
University of Western Australia
Scott is an Associate Professor in Ocean Engineering at UWA, working jointly across the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering and the Oceans Graduate School. He started at UWA in 2011 after completing his PhD in marine renewable energy at the University of Oxford. His research is focused on hydrodynamics and, in particular, ocean-structure-seabed interaction problems. Over the last 10 years he has been fortunate to work with industry on research relevant to the hydrocarbon and renewable energy industries, as well as hydrodynamics associated with novel coastal infrastructure. He currently co-leads the Coastal and Offshore Engineering Laboratory at UWA and the Woodside OceanWorks program. He has published more than 150 peer reviewed papers.
