Joe Leask is the Decommissioning Manager at OGUK. As part of his remit he works closely with industry, regulators and the UK and Scottish Governments to develop an efficient cost-effective decommissioning capability, sharing best practice and promoting that expertise at home and abroad. He is also custodian of the Industry’s decommissioning guidelines and leads OGUK’s industry forums and workgroups to deliver incentives, respond to government consultations, engage with stakeholders and promote industry dialogue.
Joe graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2011 with a 1st class Masters degree in Civil Engineering, he is a chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Prior to working for OGUK, Joe gained experience in decommissioning with Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited (RSRUK) and for Jee limited where he was a member of BP’s decommissioning team working in the UK and Norway.
