The Singapore-listed, Western Australia-headquartered construction and engineering specialist has won a string of major contracts with leading resource projects across the country.

In mid-November Civmec announced it has landed approximately $45 million in new contracts and additional work on existing projects including packages on the South Hedland Power Station, Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Project and Alcoa’s Kwinana Filtration Plant.

Key contract work secured by the company, which operates a world-class construction and fabrication facility at Henderson to the south of Perth, includes:

Prelude

The fabrication of 17 subsea jumper spools and associated lifting equipment for Shell’s Prelude FLNG Project under a contract with Technip.

Work will commence immediately, and this work adds to the list of contracts Civmec has already secured on the Prelude project.

South Hedland Power Station

Civmec landed is third contract on the South Hedland Power Station with the award of the Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical (SMP&E) package of works under a contract with IHI Engineering Australia Pty Ltd.

Civmec will undertake the assembly of a Mobile Conveyor Bridge, Emergency Radial Stacker and associated components at Alcoa’s Kwinana Filtration Plant, south of Perth.

Works are scheduled for completion by January 2016.

Citic Pacific Mining

Civmec will undertake the concrete works on the AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited – Independence Group NL Tropicana Gold Mine, under a contract awarded by Lycopodium.
