Major operators set to Present Forward Work Plans at AOG 2020

In 2018 the Western Australia LNG Jobs Taskforce was announced at AOG in Perth. It was established to work cooperatively across the industry and with unions to achieve substantial, transformative change and enhance Western Australia’s capability as an LNG centre of excellence servicing Australia and the broader region.

Western Australia continues to lead the nation as Australia’s biggest natural gas exporter, exporting almost 50 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). With a growing sector and increased production, comes opportunities in new markets, as the State looks to diversify it’s LNG customer base.

Since the launch of the Taskforce, Work Groups have been established to harness the capabilities and opportunities to realise its vision. One of these groups is the AOG Directing Committee, working with the team here at AOG to utilise the event as an integral platform for engagement, transparency and collaboration between operators and the supply chain.

AOG is Western Australia’s premier oil and gas event and the largest of its kind in Australia. This makes AOG 2020 the ideal platform to host the release of Operator Forward Work Plans. This will take place at the event via Operator Briefing Sessions presented by the major operators. AOG attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to engage directly with these operators.” – said Bill Hare, AOG Event Director.

With the theme of ‘Forward TogetherDriving Opportunity, Generating Confidence‘, AOG 2020 will once again bring together the entire industry. The 2020 event is therefore an integral platform for this Operator-Supply chain collaboration. It is where over 8,700 local and global attendees come together to discover technology and capability, forge new connections and look forward – helping to realise the growth of Western Australia as an LNG hub.

AOG 2020 is the perfect opportunity to meet operators, local sub-contractors, service providers and researchers to learn about local capabilities and new opportunities“,  continued Hare.

More information regarding agendas and attendance to the Operator Briefing Sessions will become available in due course.
