AOG 2020 Subsea Forum Call for Speakers Opens

AOG, in conjunction with the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Subsea Energy Australia (SEA) and Subsea UK are seeking abstract submissions for presentations to be considered for the AOG 2020 Subsea Forum, as part of the AOG Conference.

After half a decade of sluggish growth, the oil and gas industry is picking up pace with approximately 90 million tonnes of new LNG projects around the world likely to reach a final investment decision and begin construction by 2021. With over $60 billion worth of projects in Australia’s upcoming oil and gas development pipeline alone, new jobs, opportunities and engineering challenges await the nation’s subsea professionals.

The AOG 2020 Subsea Forum is a free-to-attend conference, held over three days on the AOG Exhibition Floor,

It is the largest gathering of subsea professionals in Australia with 941 attendees in 2019, an overall conference attendance increase of 20.1% on 2018.

The AOG 2020 Subsea Forum will explore how Australia’s industry will explore trends, issues and developments in the Australian Subsea industry. The AOG Subsea Conference Committee is seeking both technical and commercial submissions on the following topics:

  • Subsea Pipelines
  • Digitization
  • Marginal fields
  • Life Extension
  • Decommissioning
  • New Technologies
  • Carbon Capture and Storage
  • Total Cost of Ownership – Maintaining the Asset from Cradle to Grave
  • Transformational Technologies to bridge traditional and renewable energy
