AOG 2017 to feature new innovations

Oct 12, 2016 Event News

Aspermont’s EnergyNewsPremium and EnergyNewsBulletin online news services are proud to have been selected as Supporting Media Partners for Australia’s largest oil and gas event – The Australiasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) 2017.

To be staged for the 36th time in February 2017, next year’s event will feature a major program change to include a number of high level forums.

Replacing the two-day conference format of previous years, the industry forums will be located right on the exhibition floor – providing a dynamic and interactive offering for participants and attendees over the three days of AOG 2017.

Diversified has also reacted to the industry’s desire to reduce costs in a “lower for longer” oil price environment with attendance at the industry forums to be available at no cost, while exhibition stand space charges have been significantly reduced.

If you are involved in the oil and gas sector, or want to learn more, then the three forum events at AOG will be must attend events. The forums are:

  • Collaboration Forum – Hosted by Woodside, NERA, Accenture and the WA Department of Commerce, this Forum will focus on enhancing collaboration between operators, contractors and the supply chain, driving greater understanding of challenges and access to opportunities;
  • Subsea Forum – In conjunction with the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Subsea Energy Australia (SEA) and Subsea UK, this Forum at will focus on how the Australian Subsea industry adjusts to the challenges and opportunities in the current market; and
  • Knowledge Forum – This Forum aims to educate, inspire and inform by bringing specialised industry sectors together to discuss the latest techniques and technology that will enable the industry to overcome both current and future challenges.

“We undertook a good deal of in-depth consultation with industry after AOG 2016 to both discuss the current state of the sector and to see where participants saw events like AOG going. The feedback is that forums like these, that provide an opportunity for participants to discuss what is happening in the industry and what needs to be done, were high on the request list,” AOG Event Director at Diversified Communications, Bill Hare, said.

AOG 2017 will once again feature a number of specialist ‘Zones’ on the exhibition floor, covering key topics such as subsea, asset management, maritime, health, safety and environment, NDT and condition monitoring, instrumentation control and automation.

With a big international contingent already confirming its participation and strong local support – stand space is quickly filling up for AOG 2017, which will once again be a critical event for anyone interested in the oil and gas industry.

AOG 2017 will be staged at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from February 22 to 24.
